Firstly, let me say I'm a 9ers fan from 1991. So, I'm a little biased with this argument.
Reasons why Montana is the GOAT.
* Montana had better quality opposition, Ken Anderson, Jim Kelly, Dan Marino, John Elway, Boomer Esiason, Phil Simms, Warren Moon, Jim McMahon and Joe Theismann.
* Won Super Bowls convincingly, Super Bowl XVI 20-0 halftime, Super Bowl XIX 38-16, Super Bowl XXIV 55-10.
* Joe Montana never turned over possession in a Super Bowl, interceptions and fumbles.
* Montana never beat an opposition cause they choked. Remember Super Bowl XLIX, After the game, Seattle faced heavy criticism for their decision to call a pass play on second and goal from the 1-yard line with 26 seconds and one timeout left instead of a rushing play.
